Spring 2025 Little League Season

2025 Spring Season
 
Danvers American Little League is excited to open registration for the Danvers American 2025 spring season! We are expecting strong registration numbers for the 2025 season, which will run from mid/late April to mid/late June so we encourage families to register early so we can best configure the Divisions. Space for Tee Ball is limited and 5 year olds will be prioritized. There will be hard registration deadlines this year of February 28 for kids ages 8-12 and any 7 year olds interested in playing in AA. The deadline for ages 4-6 is March 20. Sign up early to secure your spot!

Registration Information (Please Read Carefully)

  • Danvers has two different Little Leagues. If you are new to Danvers or signing up for Little League for the first time and are 8 years old and above by Little League rules (see below) , please consult this information and the town map to determine which Little League you are eligible for.

  • If your child is between the Little League ages of 4-7, they may play in any local Little League you choose. Please consult this page on Little League's website for more information on league choice. If you have questions before registering, please reach out to [email protected].
  • Registration will be conducted by age. A summary of eligible divisions per age are listed in detail as part of the registration form. To view the information, login to your account at danversamerican.org and select 'programs available' for the child you'd like to register for the Spring 2025 season. Then, select 'view divisions' next to Spring 2025 season and click on the age listed in blue.

  • Placement in divisions will be based on registration numbers, ability and safety of all players. If you would like your like your child to be considered for a higher division (provided they meet the requirements) or prefer they play in a lower division, please answer those questions appropriately on the form and inform our Player Agent at [email protected].

  • Each child's age is determined by your son or daughter's "Little League age," essentially, whichever age they are by August 31st of a given year, they are defined as that age in Little League. Please refer to the little league age chart below to determine your child’s “little league age”. A link to the age calculator is provided here and a chart is below: Little League Age Calculator

2025 Divisions
Majors: 9-12 Year Olds; 3 games/week (Tues., Thurs., Sat. at 5:30 or 7:30), 1-2 practices/week
Minors AAA: 8-11 Year Olds: 3 games/week (Mon. & Wed. at 5:30, Sat. at 3:30) , 1-2 practices/week
Minors AA: 7-9 Year Olds: 2 games/week (Tues. or Thurs. at 5:30, Sat. at 1:30) , 1-2 practices/week
Farm: 6-7 Year Olds: 1 game/week (Sat. at 11:30, one Wed. game the week preceding Memorial Day weekend) , up to 1 practice/week
Tee Ball: 4-5 Year Olds: 1 practice/game per week (Thurs. at 5:30, one Saturday game at 11am the 2nd Sat. in June)


2025 Registration Pricing:
Tee Ball - $135
Minors/Majors - $205
Minors is divided into multiple divisions based on the number of participants who register for the spring season. Evaluations will occur the first weekend of March for players over the age of 7.
Registration fees include a jersey and hat. Players will need a glove, bat, helmet and baseball cleats to participate. Cleats are optional for Tee Ball and Farm levels.
There is a family max of $410 (does not include the winter training sessions). We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards (no AMEX) and checks.

Evaluations
The majority of players will need to attend one of two evaluation sessions:
  • Evaluations for players eligible for AA, AAA and Majors divisions will take place on Friday, February 28 from 5:30-7:30p and Sunday, March 2 from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
  • Players in these divisions must be registered by February 28 so plans for tryouts and the drafts can be finalized
  • Any players who played in Majors last year do NOT need to attend tryouts
  • Players only need to attend one of the two sessions. Those who are unable to attend either session may be placed in the appropriate level based on last year’s performance.
  • 7 years olds can be considered for AA if they played at the Farm level last season and attend evaluations.
  • 8 years olds can be considered for AAA if they played at the AA level last season and attend evaluations.
  • 9 & 10 year olds can be considered for Majors if they played at the AAA level last season and attend evaluations.

Further details will be sent out prior to February 28.


Registration Forms and Questions
Please be thoughtful and answer all of the questions appropriately. If you would like your child to be considered for a "higher" division should they be eligible for one (i.e. age 7 but want to be considered for AA), please select "yes" for that question. They must also attend one of the evaluation sessions. If you would like your child to be play in a "lower" division (i.e. age 11 but want to play AAA), please note that in your registration. If yo u have specific questions or requests about which division your child should play in, reach out to [email protected] to inform us.

Your child’s safety is a top concern of ours and we want to make sure they are placed in the appropriate division so they are able to learn, have fun and play safely.

Volunteers - Coaches
DALL cannot be successful without coaching volunteers. If you are interested in managing or being an assistant coach for a team, please fill out the appropriate options and we will reach out to you. Anyone interested in being a head coach in majors must sign up by Feb. 15. Anyone interested in being a head coach at AAA, AA, Farm or T-Ball should sign up ASAP. A coaching form will be distributed to all interested volunteers at a later date.
You will be required to attend a safety meeting and coaching session prior to the season. You must also pass a background check per Little League baseball and the state of Massachusetts as well as complete mandated safety training. The DALL Board of Directors Coaching Committee will select Head Coaches.
